Every month, salespeople speak to a fresh set of leads. They present their offer and if the person says ‘No’, they move on to the next lead. Sounds pretty normal right? Well, if you want to be a top producer in your company or take your business to the next level, normal won't cut it. The solution? Regular follow-up with your prospects. As a salesperson, it's your job to reach out to your previous leads to see how they are going with their problem... See if there’s anything they can do to help them... Or see if they’re ready to move forward with a solution. But... and this is BIG but. You've got to do it in the right way. Do it wrong and your prospects won’t want to speak to you, and you’ll find sales very difficult. Personally, I find sales fun and easy. Why? Not just because I’m a world-class closer, but because I follow up with my prospects often. Here’s a quick tip. The closers with the strongest follow-up skills will out-earn the closers with the strongest closing skills in the long run. Because all the BIG money is in the follow-up. People aren’t always ready to buy when they first speak to you. And nine out of ten times, they won’t call you when they are ready. You need to be there when they are. And regular follow-ups are the way to do it. So if you’re a business owner selling your own products or services, you don't need to spend money on more leads. If you’re a closer working for a company, you don’t need a fresh batch of leads. You can literally double your income with the qualified leads you already have.
